New Yu-Gi-Oh! Series.
The series is set in the near future. Yuma Tsukumo is number one bad boy at his school. Something unexpected happens as Ryoga challenges him to a Duel. When the mysterious entity Astral appears before them a new legend begins.

And I thought 5Ds would be Takahashi's last Yu-Gi-Oh series. Hope the serie will be as good as 5D. (Good bye 5D :*( )

For easier digestion I read through several forums on this...
First impression in diplomatic terms is like 'Is that a joke, do they want to get rid of everyone over 13?'
Oh, and dont forget: 'Hair Play, Hair Duel' (though I think Yugi's and Yusei's hairstyles actually are fitting)
No, the feel is not right, at least not from that ad, but I'll be brave and give it a chance.
Perhaps I am prejudiced because I like 5D's very much...

That's Yusei's and Aki's son. It's so friggin obvious yet he has a different last name. That thing on his arm, the screen thingie. What is that?! Card games on skateboards, I'm just calling that out right now. He's an anti hero from what I've read. He is the number one badass at his school, meaning he is somewhat cruel. More ancient stuff to get kids to look it up and learn! How great! Spirits too!

Well nice one I guess! + If all will went in right direction - we will have it sub from 1 episode.
Bad boy - well we always have a "positive" hero. Why don't we have a "negative" hero for a change? Yusei and Aki son?! - where did you get that idea?

I don't know.
There are questions in Yu-Gi-Oh 5D which haven't no answers.
For example the 5th Dragon. There are Blackfeather Dragon and this yellow dragon from 5000 years ago.
Maybe this new serie come in the late summer and not in march or april.
PS: Sorry for my English. It is not the best.

Yes, the hair style, aka Crab Hair. The manga is out already, how silly. Usually the manga comes out after a bit of the anime but w/e. Let's see, goofy looking rival, scouters, and extremely small duel disks. I want card games on skateboards, just like in 5ds. To me, 5ds was sucessful cuase the characters in the show don't just stand in one place and talk. No, they drive a motorcycle, talk and play card games. The background moving makes it look exciting, and everynow and then some sort of trick is done. ( I'm looking at you Team Ragnarok Trick Wheeler!) If this is set in the future, is this beyond 5ds? I would presume so, since every series goes in further and further in time. If so, then where are those duel disks that Ylisater use that were in their flashbacks. Everyone had them! Again, 5ds solving nothing but you get the point. Must be a different universe or something. No wait it can't be, a series always references an older version of itself. GX did and so did 5ds.

Well.. I like to see another COOL Dragons and GOD Cards in the new series. I think Main Character`s ace monster will be a warrior type monster . Just Like GX.

Seems the new preferred choice of monster in the series is something called 'Excess'
Monster that I don't know if it has been confirmed yet, but shall post anyway
Beyonder of the Flaming Passion [Fire/Pyro/Excess/LV8] Effect: Once per turn you can send 1 monster Overlaid on this card to the Graveyard activate 1 of the following effects: * Destroy 1 card on the field. * Inflict damage to your opponent equal 200 x the Level of the sent monster. ATK 2500 / DEF 2000

Mechanics of Exceed Summoning:
* Like regular Effect Monsters, Excess Monsters go in the deck and are summoned from the hand.
* Excess Monsters cannot be Special Summoned to the field from the hand or deck, and can only be Special Summoned from the Graveyard or the Removed from Play zone if they have been successfully Exceed Summoned first.
* To Exceed Summon an Excess Monster you must release a number of monsters on the field with combined levels equal to the Level of the Excess Monster. Additionally, all monsters released must have the same Level as each other, and at least 2 monsters must be Released. For a Level 8 Excess Monster you must release either 2 Level 4 monsters, 4 Level 2 monsters or 8 Level 1 monsters.
* An Excess Summon is considered to be a Special Summon. If that Excess Summon would be negated you can send all Released monsters to the graveyard instead of Overlaying them to prevent the Summon from being negated.
* When an Excess Monster is Exceed Summoned, the monsters released for it are Overlaid on that card. For the purposes of a real duel this means that the released monsters are stacked underneath the Excess Monster while it remains on the field.
* When an Excess Monster would be removed from the field by a card effect or by battle you can remove from play 1 Overlaid Monster on that card to prevent that Excess Monster from being removed. If an Excess Monster would be removed for a cost you cannot prevent that cost with Overlaid Monsters.
Thunderfist Monk [Fire/Thunder/Excess/LV4] Effect: Once per turn you can send all Overlaid monsters on this card to the Graveyard. Your opponent must skip 1 consecutive Draw Phase for every 2 Overlaid monsters sent to the Graveyard by this effect. ATK 1800 / DEF 1500
Data Inserter [Wind/Psychic/LV2] Effect: Once per turn you can discard 1 card to return a card of the same type from the field to the owner's hand (if the selected card is face-down reveal it and if it is not the same type as the discarded card it is returned to its face-down position). If this card is Overlaid on an Excess Monster, that monster gains this card's effect. [b]ATK 500 / DEF 1600
Excess Power [Spell/Normal] Effect: Select 1 monster from your Graveyard and Overlay it on Excess Monsters you control. That Excess Monster gains ATK equal to half the Overlaid Monster’s ATK while that monster is Overlaid on it.
Greed Glut [Spell/Quickplay] Effect: Send 1 Excess Monster you control to the Graveyard. Draw 1 card for each Overlaid Monster on that Excess Monster (max 4).
Attack Overload [Trap/Normal] Effect: Activate this card only when your opponent declares an attack. Send 1 Overlaid Monster on an Excess Monster you control to the Graveyard to destroy all monsters your opponent controls.

About the new monsters - I see they invented a new way to summon.

This is STUPID! are they done with 5Ds already? The original Yu-Gi-Oh! had 220 episode, GX had around 170-180 and 5 gets even less that that? This sucks.
And the new characters way too childish. The girl looks even more annoting than Tea, from the original. I don't like this Excess summoning bit maybe I'll grow to like it. I like synchros too much, man.

It is strange for me that 5D's get only about 150. (PS: This is a rating. I counted the weeks between now and the months march and april. This is the begin of Zexal)
The reason is there are a nice story, the characters have their own charm and the setting is O.K. It is a little bit sad.
