| Ultra mkv converter does the thing for me. It even has an option to add subtitles. And if i want to convert another file, i just change the extension to .mkv. It is shareware though D; | |

| Any video converter is quite good for me
support many kinds of codec and it has the free and shareware version | |

| You can use XviD4PSP
it converts anything.
You can add subs, create your own script.
Change everything in video, add effects.
And it's completely free.
The trick of it - Longer it takes to convert - the smaller the size+higher quality. | |

| It's normal if you encode and it takes a few hours but you gotta play with the settings aka change it and see how the result will be until you are glad with your result  i would Recommend XVID4PSP | |

i usually reencode them with minicoder in which it will automatically encode them to designated size or bitrate | |
